Peter created his first website in 1997, using Notepad and coding in HTML.  Since then, he has used most of the well-known web-authoring tools, including Dreamweaver (starting with version 3 and continuing to the latest versions), Photoshop (versions 5, 6, and 7), Flash (5.0 > CS3), Actionscript (1 and 2).  Along the way, he learned CSS, Fireworks, javascript, and now PHP/mySQL.  He has created websites for small businesses, non-governmental organizations, government agencies, large multinational corporations, and even the president of Mali.  He was doing Search Engine Optimization long before most people had even heard of it, running successful ad campaigns using Google Adwords.

This long experience has given him a thorough understanding of the underlying technologies, and has also enabled him to add to his understanding as technologies such as RSS and blogging and mobile platforms emerged.  He is thoroughly comfortable with server-side technologies such as PHP as well as client-side technologies such as javascript, and the integration of the two, using AJAX.  He is thoroughly at home on all computing platforms (Windows, OSX, and linux).  His iPhone is hacked to within an inch of its life.
